The uncertainties in the world are contributing to a busy and stressful time for everyone, including the Saskatoon Opera Association. It seems like only a few weeks ago we were gathered at Knox, singing with everyone who is near and dear to us. Of course, many things have changed since then around the world, and here at home.
The ongoing effects of COVID-19 are still unclear and the impact on our organization is uncertain. The Saskatoon Opera Association is committed to protecting the health of our audience, performers, and our broader communities. With the information available to us at this time, we have decided to postpone our June production of Verdi’s La Traviata. A considerable amount of work has gone into this production, and we are happy to present this when the time is right.
Our partners in the Persephone Theatre box office are managing all refunds and exchanges. Beginning April 9th, ticketholders may contact Persephone Theatre for ticket changes. Call 306-384-2126 ex. 224 or email email@example.com.
Understanding this busy time, please allow at least three business days for them to process your request.
This pandemic significantly impacts many organizations, and these effects are amplified in vulnerable sectors such as arts and culture. The impacts of postponing our performances and fundraising events stunt our growth as a cultural pillar. Our organization needs the help of our patrons to weather this storm. If you are able, please consider investing in the future success of this production, and your opera company by making a donation through Canada Helps.
Your support now will allow us to return to the stage in the spring of 2021 with our production of La Traviata.
